Beschreibung
Includes a deck of 61 cards having two sets of consonants (42) and three sets of vowels (15) (each letter having a point value), and four wild cards; plus a reference card showing the letter values, and a 1-minute sand timer.
Players have hands of 8 cards. The first player lays down a word from their hand of at least 3 cards. From then on, a turn is made by making a new word using at least one of the cards on the table, and at least on of the cards in the hand (the unused table cards are discarded), and drawing back up to an 8 card hand. The new word's score is the sum of the letter values newly laid down, with the older letters not scoring; except if all the table letters are used then the score is the entire word, doubled; if all the cards in hand are used in the new word the score is the entire word tripled.
The game ends when every player has had an equal number of turns after a player's score reaches a pre-determined total.
The solitaire game has the player playing cards to the table one at a time, either starting a new column (up to 5 columns), or adding a letter to an existing column. Two columns can also be combined end to end. Whenever a column forms a complete word it can be removed. The player wins if they can remove all the cards.
