"Inchiki ha Nashi", a local card game from Ichikawa City, Chiba Prefecture, is a psychological warfare game in which the outcome is determined by bargaining between a pear and an ant.
Just like in the card game "Doubt", the first person to spot the fraud and lose all the cards in their hand wins.
Can be enjoyed by elementary school students.

Number of players: 3 or more
Playing time: 15 minutes
Recommended age: 8 years and older

[Set contents]
Instruction cards: 12
Number cards: 35
Judgment card: 1

[Game preparation]
Shuffle all number cards face down and deal 4 to each player.
Make the remaining number cards face down into a single deck and place them in the center of the table.
Shuffle all instruction cards face down and put them into a single deck next to the number cards.
Place the judgment card next to the number cards.
Decide the starting player in any way and start playing!

[Game flow]
Flip over a card from the instruction card deck and announce the instructions.
The instruction card states the number of pears that can be played, so players must play the same number of number cards face down.
At this time, you can play multiple cards if they are the same as the number indicated.

Example) If the number indicated is "2"
1 Play one 2
2 Play two 2s
3 Play three 2s
etc.

If you don't have a card to play, you can choose
1 Pass and draw one card from the number card deck
2 Cheat and play a number card

・The way to cheat is as follows
Example) If the number indicated is "1"
1 Play one number card other than 1
2 Play a combination of number card 1 (or more than one) and one card other than 1(including ants)

※1 and 2, 1, 1 and 3, 1, 1, 1 and ants, etc.
※Playing more than two cards other than the number card indicated is prohibited
※Ants can only be played by cheating, so play them without being found out

After playing a number card, it is the role of
the next player to point out whether the player is playing it honestly or cheating.
If you think you are not cheating, put the "No Cheating" judgment card on top, if you think you are cheating, put the "Cheating" judgment card on top.

After that, the player turns over the number card that was face down to show whether they played it honestly or cheated.

・If you played it honestly but someone points out that you cheated, the player who pointed it out must draw two number cards
from the deck as a penalty.
・On the other hand, if the cheating is discovered, the cheating player must put back the number card they played and draw
two cards from the deck as a penalty.
・If you cheated by playing an ant card and someone points out that you are not cheating, the player who pointed it out must
draw two number cards from the deck as a penalty.
・If you cheated using only number cards, there is no penalty for the player who pointed out that you are not cheating and overlooked the cheating.

After this exchange is over, the next player in the clockwise direction draws an instruction card in the same way and follows the instructions.

[End of the game]
・The first person to run out of number cards wins.
・However, cheating when trying to win is prohibited.
・If you have one or more number cards left and they all have the same number, if they are the same number as the instruction card, you can say "win" and play your number card to become the winner.
・If they are different from the instruction card, you draw a card from the deck and the game continues.

・Once a winner is decided, the total
number of number cards held by the losers becomes the score.

Example) A, B, and C are playing, and if B becomes the winner, A and C will have negative points equal to the number of
number cards they have, and B will have positive points equal to the total number of cards remaining for A and C.

・Write down the scores, play twice, and the person with the most total points will be the winner.
