Beschreibung
Inspired by the legendary units of Romans, Roman Auxiliaries, Mercenaries, and Enemies of Rome, the strategy card game Tacticus Romanus was born. As the Roman Empire extends its dominion across the known world, you step into the role of a general competing for influence over this vast realm. Your success depends on careful troop management, tactics, and wise decision-making when choosing which fights to pick. And yes, a dash of luck can tip the scales.
The game consists of Territory Cards you are competing for with other players and Unit Cards which defines your military power. Additionally, the Dice is used to resolve the battles.
In a single round, players can deploy up to three cards (deployed sequentially, one at a time, in clockwise order). These cards represent Infantry, Cavalry, and Range units, which are used to engage opponents in combat. Special cards can strengthen your army too. When three different unit types are combined, an additional bonus is unlocked, granting extra dice for that round.
The game ends when all territory cards are claimed, which makes 16 rounds in total.
