Spain and Portugal is an Europa module covering Spain and Portugal during World War II: it consists of a map, counters, and chart set.
The 21" x 27" map covers the Iberian Peninsula from Portugal to Spain's Ebro Valley, linking with westernmost Spain on The Fall of France (Europa VIII) map. The map, at the standard Europa scale of 16 miles per hex, displays the wide variety of terrain types of Spain, from the many mountainous regions to the occasional lowland swamp.
The 240 counters cover the armed forces of Spain and Portugal at Europa scales. Ground units are divisions, brigades, regiments, and battalions. Air units represent groups of 40 to 60 aircraft, organized by model and type, such as HE 111B bombers, Spitfire V fighters, and JU 52 transports. Naval units represent individual large warships and flotillas of smaller vessels. The counters also include the British garrison at Gibralter and other British forces for use in the Battle for Spain scenario.
The charts include the Europa mobilization schedules for Spain and Portugal, and the Battle for Spain scenario.
