The year is 1942 and you are charged with mobilizing your nation and battling to victory in the first fully industrialized, mechanized, global total war.

For the first time in modern history, development of new weapons, manufacturing capacity and global supply chains turned entire national economies into war factories, and every citizen into a military target.

To win, you must allocate your national resources to research, develop, build and deploy the war machines needed to defend your position and conquer the wealth and resources that will power the next step of your strategy.

War Leader 1942 is a map-based strategy game that allows 2-6 players to each control Axis or Allied factions in order to win the Second World War. The game is played on a large map, with detailed markers and counters keeping track of the location and movement of military units. Each player faction has a record-keeping Mobilization card, and all combat is conducted using a step-by-step procedure executed on the Battlespace card.
