In some location in a city, there are several breeding grounds for the Aedes aegypti mosquito, which causes Dengue Type 1, Type 2, Type 3, Type 4, Chikungunya and Zika, which are causing several health problems to the local population. It is up to the players to eliminate these breeding grounds for the mosquito that transmits Dengue. In their search to find the breeding grounds for the mosquito, they will be able to observe several trees in the area. Some of these locations will give bonuses to the players, which can help them find the breeding grounds for the mosquito. The player who contributes the most to eliminating the breeding grounds for the mosquito, as well as observing the largest number of trees, will be declared the winner. To achieve the objective, they must create paths on the map and thus eliminate the breeding grounds for the dengue fever. We decided to include the theme “Dengue” in the game, because here in Brazil, due to poor sanitary conditions, especially in the outskirts of large cities, there are many problems related to diseases caused by the Aedes aegypti mosquito, mainly related to health, since health centers, emergency care units and hospitals end up overwhelmed with patients who need adequate treatment.
One of the main ways to combat the mosquito that transmits the disease is to eliminate its breeding grounds, which must involve the entire population and public administrations.
The game symbolically brings the topic to the table and by playing, especially with children/students, the subject can be discussed at home or in classrooms, creating greater awareness of the problems caused by the Aedes aegypti mosquito and its consequences for society as a whole.
