Battlebond is the first Magic: The Gathering expansion designed exclusively for two-headed giant booster draft! In this 254-card booster expansion, players form teams of two and tandem-draft cards two at a time from booster packs. After each team has drafted four booster packs' worth of cards, players will build two decks per team, and then face off in 2v2 matches.
Because Battlebond is designed for two-headed giant play, many of the mechanics in the set are tailor-made for team games. The "Assist" mechanic allows both players in a team to contribute mana towards a spell. The "Partner With" mechanic appears in pairs, and when a player plays half of a pair, they can have themselves or their teammate search their library for the other half. And the "Support" mechanic (returning from Oath of the Gatewatch) allows you to buff up your own creatures or your allies.
