In AstroNavigators, you embark on an epic journey of discovery, from the quiet contemplation of stargazing to the adrenaline rush of a lunar landing. As a pioneering astronomer, you'll meticulously chart the cosmos and gather the crucial knowledge needed for humankind's greatest adventure. Then, prepare for the ultimate challenge: a daring race to the Moon and back! Outmanoeuvre your rivals, manage your resources wisely, and push your luck as you navigate the treacherous void. Will you be the first to leave your mark on the Moon?
AstroNavigators is a board game simulating the celestial mechanics within a space race themed worker placement game. In Phase 1, you'll explore the world, making observations and discoveries to earn Navigation Knowledge (NK) and Reputation Points (RP). In Phase 2, using your hard-earned NK, you'll become an Astronaut and race to the Moon!
The end of the game is immediately triggered when one of the following conditions occurs:
All the players are ‘lost in space’.
All the players went to the Moon and returned to Earth.
The Sun disc is in the leftmost space on the Star map for the first time (Astronomer mode) or the second time (Astronavigator mode).
Players will assess the outcome of their mission and earn additional points for their achievements. The player with the most Reputation Points (RP) wins the game.
