This is a game of intense dice rolling and supply management where you fight through four rounds and aim for victory for both the Confederate and Northern armies.

The game follows this sequence of play:


Draw phase.
Initiative phase.
Action phase.
Combat resolution phase.
Victory determination phase.


Victory is determined by victory point totals, which change according to the year of the war. Meet your quota and you win the game.
