Space Race is a Cold War game from the USA where players race to a predetermined planet, whether it be from earth to Jupiter or Saturn to Neptune. It is up to the players to decide before the start of the game.

Players roll a dice and move their rocket playing piece the number shown in a circular path representing the planets orbit around the sun. A segment of the all the planets orbit is colored red and is called the "Anti Gravity Corridor". A player entering this red area can move their rocket to an adjacent orbit, so as to reach other planets.

If a player lands on an orbiting planet that is not the final destination then he rolls the dice again and receives either has a penalty or assistance on their travels.

The players whose spaceship reaches the destination planet first is the winner.

The game is promoted to be educational by teaching facts about the Solar System
