"The Different Game"
The game is promoted as "fast moving, surprising - different". It is played by four players on a 13x13 multi-coloured checkered board. On each side of the board, there is a role (producer, doctor, politician, and opportunist). One of these roles is assumed by each of the four players. Playing time is presented as being one to two hours. The board also states that the game is "a game of skill", played with "no dice or cards".
MAKALOT was published by Modern Games Company in Oaktown, Indiana. The copyright date is 1937, held by Roy A. Beard. A "patent pending" notation is shown on the game board.
