Outrageous sacrilege! These puny mortals would dare to worship other gods?! This won't do at all! Everyone knows that YOU are the most glorious deity in the cosmos. Time to bring your full power to bear, and prove once and for all that you deserve the throne … of the ALMIGHTY!
Almighty is a 1-4 player game in which you are a moody ancient god - of the Sun, the Dead, Love, or Storms - competing for belief and glory by performing various acts upon the inhabitants of the mortal plane. You decide their fate: will they lead full, prosperous lives, or suffer terribly by your hand? Each god plays differently, so leverage your unique powers to create, influence, and smite mortals to your advantage. The most impactful gods score glory at festivals, and after the End of Days, the most glorious god is the winner!
On your turn you'll play Act cards to one of four different lands, impacting the Mortals there (creating them, tempting or banishing them, poking them for their effect, even cursing or them to gain Fear), which generates an amount of Belief. At the end of your turn, if there are three opponent cards in a land, the Mortals hold a Festival and give Glory (victory points) to the god with the most Belief there - but only from Worthy Mortals! Unworthy Mortals subtract points, so you'll need to move or smite them away, or bless them to turn their value positive. Mortals are a shared common resource, not owned by any player, so outwit your opponents by using and positioning them in a way that benefits YOU most at Festival time.
After the fourth Festival in any land, the game is over, and the god with the most Glory is crowned ALMIGHTY!
