Kilauea (2025)

You are Mo'o, the lizard-like water spirits from Hawaiian folklore. You venerate Pele, the volcano goddess, in order to keep her calm.

Kilauea is a medium-light eurogame with high player interaction. In each turn, you will navigate around the five different zones of the volcano island, selecting one of three actions:
- Take wood from the forests to your boat and activate bonus actions. Four types (colors) of wood are available.
- Use wood to build common tiki towers in different zones near the goddess Pele.
- Use wood to build your own tiki towers on your island.

When the wooden resources in three zones are exhausted, end-game scoring is triggered. For each of the five different zones and for each wood type, you multiply the tikis on your island by the common tikis found around the volcano. The key is that the tallest wood color in each zone gives 1 VP per tiki, while other colors give you 3 VP.
